New layout coming soon.
The current layout is just a filler so to speak at this point. I plan on redoing this blog soon in prep for me to attempt to post more often. In the meantime here is the player for my WoW Livestream™
ICC 25 Broadcast.
Just a quick post to say that I plan on broadcasting my ICC experiences.
I will also be periodically broadcasting my alts (lvl 80 priest, lvl 80 shaman, lvl 28 druid) as I do random group dungeons/heroics.
Tomorrow's Raid (Dec 10th 2009) Should be at ~7:30pm Arthas US realm time.
here is the Link:
EDIT:
On a side note. I am working on finding the time to post more regularly on my healing blog, possibly even a regular weekly post. But I have been pretty busy lately leveling several healer alts, as I wish to have all healing classes capped/geared and mastered at some point. Stay Tuned, -dega.

Proposed Talent Changes. 3.3
So here are some recent, Proposed talent changes. Bearing in mind this is all a work in progress as its still on the PTR:
Divine Intervention: This ability now also removes Exhaustion and Sated from the target. In addition, the cooldown on this ability has been reduced from 20 minutes to 10 minutes. Cannot be used in Arenas. Flash of Light: This spell no longer causes a heal-over-time effect unless the player has the Infusion of Light talent.
Lay on Hands: This ability will place Forbearance on the paladin if used on his or herself. It will not place Forbearance on others. Talents
Infusion of Light: This talent now causes the paladin’s Flash of Light spells to heal the target for 50/100% of the Flash of Light healing amount over 12 seconds.
Sanctified Light: This talent now also has a 33/66/100% chance to prevent Lay on Hands from causing Forbearance when Lay on Hands is used on others.
-- These changes, I feel, are to make our Ret and Prot brothers a little less powerful. Since ret's have been able to take advantage of our holy goodness for quite some time now. I believe the changes are fair, and make Holy paladins a little more "specialized". Because lets face it, when was we ever able to use Crusader Strike (without speccing deep ret of course). So its only fair that they allow us to be the only Paladin spec that can use Lay On Hands without penalty. As well as the FoL heal over time effect. All in all, nothing too bad. A little bit bummed about the nerf to Divine sacrifice, but affects me much less since I am a Holy "Crit Bomb" Pally and only use divine sac in my PvP spec with the main purpose of breaking CC.
Oh, and here is the Divine sacrifice nerf I speak of, since I forgot to post it above... Divine Sacrifice: Redesigned. The effect of Divine Sacrifice is now party-only and the maximum damage which can be transferred is now limited to 40% of the paladin’s health multiplied by the number of party members. In addition, the bug which allowed Divine Sacrifice to sometimes persist despite reaching its maximum damage has been fixed. Divine Sacrifice will now cancel as soon as its maximum damage value is exceeded in all cases. Finally, Damage which reduces the paladin’s health below 20% now cancels the effect early.

Paladin Tier 10 Bonuses!
I did hold of posting about this, since nothing is definite due to PTR being a "work in progress. But It's been a while since I have posted. So here goes:
HOLY PALADIN: +2 piece bonus - While your Divine Illumination talent is active, your healing spells are increased by 35%. +4 piece bonus - Your Holy Shock spell causes the next Holy Light you cast within 10 sec to have 0.3 sec reduced cast time.
-- PROT PALADIN: +2 piece bonus - Your Hammer of the Righteous ability deals 20% increased damage. +4 piece bonus - When you activate Divine Plea, you gain 12% dodge for 10 seconds.
-- RET PALADIN: +2 piece bonus - Your melee attacks have a 40% chance to reset the cooldown on your Divine Storm ability. +4 piece bonus - Your Seals and Judgements deal 10% additional damage
--
As far as the Holy goes, I'd say its an "ok" set of bonuses. Better than what we have seen in the previous bonuses. I don't have much to say about the other specs as I am not as proficient at prot/ret. But I will say that the Ret 2 piece appears to be a very nice dps boost on paper.
Back to Holy.... The 2 piece I feel will turn our Divine Illumination in to more of a "situational" skill than an up 100% mana regen button. Although I plan to still use the skill just as often as now. It should be nice in combination with Divine Plea to help make up for lost throughput with Avenging Wrath at the ready in case the need for even more throughput. All in all, its going to give more options to tune our throughput depending on the situation at hand. Which isn't all that bad.
The 4PC I think is going to be rather nice indeed. I use Holy Shock very often, to assist low HP raid members, heal on the move (legion flames, anub spikes, etc) or even just to burst the tank during heavy damage spikes. It will mean that my 1.3sec Holy Light+JOTP (~700haste) will be able to be 1second without the need to waste too much stat weight on the diminishing returns of haste at 700+. The biggest question with this bonus though will be how much haste they plan on putting on T10 gear.
Will be exciting completing my very first Tier set (since I have often gone with off peices). Bring on ICC.

WOW-Heroes: The Rant
So yeah, at this point it is really looking like the "WoW Heroes rating" is becoming the be all and end all of wow grouping.
Now first off, the idea of wow-heroes was fantastic. A way to quickly gear check a player and show all of their stats at a glance in a wowarmory-esque way, but on a fast loading web page. The ability to check gems/enchants and check for upgrades all included as features.
But now, things are getting ridiculous at least on Arthas US realm. Anymore people set a whr number and that becomes the number to get in to their group. This is void of any skill gauging, and even scary is the fact that WoW Heroes rating is nothing more than a calculation of the item levels of all of your gear+enchants regardless of stats/spec.
Now anybody that knows how to play their class well will know what stats they need to aim for. Even more so, very often there are best in slot items that are lower item level (whr). As an example the best in slot Holy Light spam libram is item level 200.
These days it is so easy for people to run heroics to get 2pc t8 and heroics these days are a joke with highly geared ppl basically carrying an entire 5man group for the most part.
Too often now you see people with full uld10 items pulling under 2k dps even. This scares the shit out of me when I see warlocks/mages/rogues pulling such low dps. How is this possible? Because it certainly didn't used to be such a rampant issue. Especially when we had to run naxx in blues, now we are wiping in full epics.
Something has to change here, because a lot of skilled players are missing out. Or should I say a lot of pugs are missing out on skilled players? And of course the quality of pugs has diminished greatly.
Just tonight my 1900WoW-Heroes Priest (Full Deadly PvP w/ no enchants) received the achievement for ToC 10man. Also out-healing a tier 8.5+ paladin a majority of the time. I think that right there says it all.
lets just say this. Personally I let the player do their thing, don't judge before performance, I figure that if the person knows what they are doing then they are willing to prove it. If the first few pulls/boss comes and the player is doing terribad, THEN you can call them out and find out what the problem is (or kick/replace). But seriously looking for one simple number to determine if someone is qualified to raid is shameful.
I'm sure I will end up revisiting this rant at some point, because I enjoy ranting and raving sometimes. But im gonna leave it here for now since i need to get some sleep. ..and and oh yeah. My Paladin is 2800 WoW heroes! am I good or what? omg!!!

A few Holy Paladin tips.NOTE: This is an imported post from: 9/13/09
I figured I would share some healing resources that I have been looking at lately, that I have found very useful to me personally: First off is this little gem that goes in depth at describing the challenges involved with mana regen especially considering the most recent content that requires a lot of heavy Holy Light usage: Mana Regen and you (the paladin)
Paladin PvE healing Guide for patch 3.2 is another guide I just scanned over today that I found very interesting that explains the options of a holy paladin healing being: Heavy Holy Light or Flash Of Light+Sacred Shield and goes on to explain how to work your gear for each situation, of course both healing methods have their uses. I would like to add one thing that I also find very very useful, and that is the old Libram of Renewal, its not only very easy to obtain its by far the best libram out there afaik (correct me if I'm wrong) for heavy Holy Light users. It is also a testament to the fact that you cant always go with the highest item level (wow heroes?) and thus should consider each upgrade carefully as you progress. Hell now I think about it, one of my favorite trinkets is also only ilvl200, the Tears of the Vanquished.
I hope to add more to this blog as time goes on and as I work hard with fellow guildies to find the best ways to heal heavy damage in the more challenging raids and hard modes.
